Build a Hooper is a free browser basketball builder game where every run turns into a compact player-construction challenge. You choose a mode, pick or roll a position, spin a real-feeling team-season roster, select one player from that roster, and lock one open attribute into your custom hooper. The attribute set covers the skills that define basketball archetypes, including three-point shooting, midrange scoring, finishing, dunking, handling, passing, perimeter defense, interior defense, blocking, rebounding, athleticism, strength, and clutch. Strong play comes from building for role fit rather than simply chasing the biggest name or highest number: a point guard needs creation and passing, a wing needs two-way balance, and a center needs interior defense, rebounding, strength, and rim protection. Classic mode shows ratings and gives the most control, Blind hides ratings while keeping the position visible, and Chaos hides both ratings and final position until the run resolves. After all attributes are locked, the game grades the build, assigns an archetype, and simulates an 82-game season with record and playoff outcome, making each run a mix of roster knowledge, risk management, and basketball imagination.
